Gregory A. Stowe is a director in the Dallas office of BDO Consulting, supporting the Valuation & Business Analytics practice. He has more than 15 years of experience valuing businesses and other business assets across a wide range of industries, including prepared foods, telecommunications, technology, professional sports, timber, paper, consumer products, and retail, with significant industry experience in energy services.
Mr. Stowe has extensive valuation experience in financial reporting assignments under ASC 805, 350, 360, and 718. He also has experience in tax-related assignments, such as tax restructurings, outside tax basis studies, foreign interest expense allocation, and closely held securities valuations.
He has conducted valuations of common stock, preferred stock, restricted securities, debt instruments, and various types of intangible assets, including customer relationships, license agreements, patents and technical know-how, trademarks and trade names, computer software, and other forms of intellectual property, such as in-process research and development.
Mr. Stowe provides valuations and financial advisory services for acquisitions, divestitures, fairness opinions, pre-transaction valuation analysis and advisory services, estate and gift taxes, litigation and arbitration support, fresh-start accounting, and recapitalization. In addition, he has provided expert witness testimony in the Florida State Court and the Federal Court for East Texas.
